One of the things I love to do is arts and crafts. I love shows like "Art Attack" and would follow suit and sometimes still do.
This is one of my favorite projects i did in 2004 during my ITE school holidays.
Mr Froggy which is a Pen/Chopstick/Paintbrush holder
According to Pringles’ dictionary, Krrunch = Fun so imagine how much Krrunch (see what I did there? hehe) can I get incorporating my childhood passion with food!
I dragged my bf to the nearest NTUC and grabbed as much of one of the latest Pringles flavors “Seaweed” and “Grilled Shrimp” and get to work.
As most of you would know, its Hari Raya Puasa for us muslims, so up goes the lights and curtains but year after year, it gets pretty mundane and normal because EVERY house has lights and and EVERY house has textile curtains.
But this year, my friends, my house will have curtains made of PRINGLES!!!! How Krrunch is that! woot! I am hanging them up at the opening to my kitchen so that when people are at the dinning table, they can smell the lovely aroma of the chips and salivate.
By now, its pretty obvious why I choose those specific flavors right? Because of its pretty colors!
With the help of my bf, we threaded all the chips with a needle and thread.
It was frustrating at first because the chips tend to crack because its so crispy right? but not a problem, it’s just an excuse to....
Eat them. YUM!
After all the laughter, munching, blood (no kidding! Coz I pricked myself haha) and sweat... we finished the coolest curtains compared to other boring curtains from other muslim house. Bwahahha!
Before it was hanged up...
Tada!
Of course i have to pose with the curtains right? hehe
With Jhon, who has been a great help.
I'm suppose to pretend that visitors are coming.... fail.. =(
If you guys want to try making your own makeshift curtains, why not? tap into your inner child and creativity and shout....
“It’s Krrunch Time, Get Playful!!!!!”
