If you have been following me in Twitter or my previous blog posts here and here, you should know who and what i am talking about.
[i suggest reading those 2 posts before moving on]
On 23rd Dec 2009,
I took half day for work related issues and that was also the day that sis has an appointment with the Doc at KK Hospital. Abg Awil and her were supposed to tell the doctor their decision with the baby. To keep or to opt for an early termination.
They decided to go for the latter. Now, before most of you would preach about murder/cruelty, please take note that the whole family has fully thought about this and for my sis's life and not risking the baby's inevitable future, we believe this is the best option.
24th Dec 2009,
It was Christmas eve and sis was admitted at 7am in a Class A ward (private room with aircon). The whole family came over to visit after lunch and by that time, her doctor has inserted a pill in her for inducing her labor.
At that time, we suspected that the baby has already passed away because she never moved in the womb, not even when mom was massaging sis's stomach.
But we tried not to think about it and keep praying that everything will go smoothly. Sis suffered mensus-like cramps but that was it the whole day even though the nurse said she is dilated to 2-3cm. After she had an injection to ease the pain, she was dilated back to 1cm. We were very confused and irritated but there was nothing we can do. Abg Awil, mom and I stayed over for moral support.
25th Dec 2009,
It was a rest day for sis from the pills and was inserted a small object to encourage the dilation. There was very little progress so Mom and I went home to get enough rest.
26th Dec 2009
Sis said that there was a little of blood in her pad so we rushed to her side. Her doctor came over to check and she said that it looks promising because the placenta membrane is thin but she dared not give us any promises.
Between 1pm - 2pm, sis started to complain about on and off pains. She said she wanted to go to the toilet and as we were helping her, she seemed to be stucked in a lying position complaining that she suffering from extreme pain.
For all we know, she said that she felt something was coming out. Mom advised her to just push and let it out while Abg Awil called for the nurse. Everything else was a blur but i knew i had to be next to sis no matter what. I held her hand and soon, we heard a splash; her water bag just broke.
Just as the nurses cleaned her bed, at exactly 2.20pm, Nadia Natasha came into the world feet first.
She was clean. No blood whatsoever. After sis pushed the placenta out, the nurses took her away for cleaning.
When Nadia came back, we all cried more than ever. She was beautiful, no obvious deforminities except for her head. She was complete. We spent hours admiring her and prasing her but eventually, we had to send her to the morgue where they can keep her temporarily before we can send her to the cementary the next morning.
27th Dec 2009
Mom and I stayed over yet again and got ready for Nadia's burial starting at 10am. It was all planned by Abg Awil's dad and i followed while mom stayed with sis.
It was heartbreaking.
There are times i couldnt control my tears but i had to because crying for the deceased during the ceremony will bring heavy grief to them.

Words cannot explain how we feel especially Sis and Abg Awil's. God decided to take her back.. We can't question him. We have to be grateful that we at least managed to see and touch her even for a while.
For those who think they can handle looking at pictures of a 4.5mth year old fetus, feel free to watch my slide show video. It is not professionally but sincerely done.
On a slightly lighter note, below is a short video of Shibly, my nephew saying Hello to Nadia.
Heads up, video has a brief showing of Nadia.

Just a quick update from my previous emo blog.
Been going visiting in and out of the KK hospital and even slept over on Thursday.
Things are not going as smoothly as we hoped for but i really hope her labor will happen before the new week starts because i really want to be there for her when it all happens.
Till then, pray for us, pray for her, pray for Nadia Natasha binte Saparin.

Edwards Syndrome
Trisomy 18 is caused by the presence of three—as opposed to two—copies of chromosome 18 in a fetus or infant's cells.
The incidence of the syndrome is estimated as one in 3,000 live births.
The survival rate of Edwards Syndrome is very low. About 95% die in utero. Of liveborn infants, only 50% live to 2 months, and only 5–10% will survive their first year of life.
Infants born with Edwards syndrome may have some or all of the following characteristics: kidney malformations, structural heart defects at birth, intestines protruding outside the body ,mental retardation, developmental delays, growth deficiency, and arthrogryposis (a muscle disorder that causes multiple joint contractures at birth).
There are many physical malformations to mention but they are similar to those with down syndrome but worst.
To feel what mommy and daddy might feel is beyond imagination.
Everyone has seen you, baby. Your parents has heard your heartbeat. Your mother has felt your movements.
You have become one with your mommy, baby. You shared hunger pains and you shared the melody of your daddy's songs and voice.
You are the first for them, baby. We are very excited to see you. We can't stop talking and thinking of you.
But we might have to let go of you, baby. For you and mommy's health and not risking your future.
Please forgive us, baby. Please know that we already love you when we found out that you are in mommy.
God has a greater plan for you, baby. We don't know what is it yet but I'm sure it is great.
We don't understand either, baby. Why does it has to be this way. We were ready to shower with all the love we could ever give.
Remember, baby. God is Great... God is Great. I am sure, one day all of us will finally meet.
Till that day, baby. Please forgive us.
Love,
Your Mak Su

Here's a 'subtle' story on what happened to us over the last weekend. I'm sorry, unless you are a local, you would'nt understand what i am refering to but hopely get what i am trying to say?. =)
So we have these two S's in the house and we are experiencing the said problem. Seems to me, the only way to resolve it (on our side) is to choose one 'S' but the problem is, there is a minor conflict of interest in the household.
At this moment of time, situation is being neutralized but i don't see the point paying for something you don't use, right?
End of my long leave

Today is the last day of my long leave and will start work again tomorrow. =(
Been on leave since last Thursday due to clearing of last year's leave. I know! i haven't even use this year's leave! hahaha anyways, its been fun chilling and playing with shibly. I hardly ever get to see him since he is only home on weekdays and by the time I'm home from work, he's already on his way to his house.
Him playing at the corridor.
I took short videos of him too.
Shibly on his motorbike.
Besides going to Johor, Jhon and I planned to go to Jurong Birdpark but that didn't went well since we overslept on that day and i took it as a hint that we were too tired and should'nt push ourselves.
We went to Cathay to exhange Jhon's Fast and the Furious CD since it got all pixelated and head to Bugis to get me a bedek (fake) watch. I have never own a fake watch before except when i was in primary school wearing a mickey mouse watch. haha
I love it because the face is very big and ultra ruggerd with compass and thermometer. hahaha
and the fact that i know its not a common design and will suit whenever i am going for my ruggerd/sporty look. I am happy. ^_^
Jhon got a cool big-faced watch too. i made him get the red one. tee hee!
Since i am on leave, i have been blogging religiously which is good and i hope i can manage to keep it up. I am always way too tired after work and dating with Jhon. hehe
And i got a few more blog stories up my sleeve so don't loose hope on me. =P
