Singapore's National Day is coming in a couple of weeks time (on 9th August 2010) and although it is still a long way to go, I am already excited.
Why?
Usually by this time, Singapore flags are already up, decorating almost every building/HDB and for the first time in many years, my neighbourhood comminuty made an effort to hang up flags since no one are patriotic enough to do it ourselves.
Kudus for comminities to make an effort but it also means I can't do what I always do when it is nearing the National Day.
Spot flags that are hanged on the wrong side. To me, it is almost like playing "Where's Wally" and giggling to myself.
Lo and behold, when I thought it is almost impossible to spot them unlike many years ago, I saw one at Tampines Ave 7, Block 401, opposite Tampines Reginal Library on the 2nd storey, hidden behind a few trees.
Unfortunately, it was dark and armed with low quality camera phone so this is the best shot.
I swear, this is not photoshopped! It was the first time Jhon saw it and can't stop giggling himself too.
Perhaps if you guys are along the way, you can take a sneak peek ya? and if you have your own share of pictures of people hanging the Singapore flag the wrong way, please share with a permalink! I just love it!
Heck, if I have a good response and makes my day, I would even make it into a contest with a small prize. *wink wink* lol
Damn headache. LOL HAHAHAHA
