Yup, you read it right. I believe couldn't believe it myself at first. I heard the news from my colleague's friend who sent an MMS of the flood at Lucky Plaza & CK Tang.
So i quickly checked http://www.stomp.com.sg/ and true enough, Takashimaya, Wheelock Place, all are affected.
Even as we speak, the flood is rising and as I last checked, has risen to half the height of a car.
I am thinking, how about the underground passes to the MRT and adjacent malls? It is going to be a helluva of a mess.
The funny thing, it has not been rainly furiously that would lead to such major flooding. I assume this has got to do with the construction even though my Project Manager mentioned that ION has utilised a good drainage system. Apparently not...
Got this picture from twitter, is it me or a double decker bus has toppled over?
I hope no one gets hurt, but i really have this urge to go there and bring a small canoe or something. I always see children having so much fun with floods on TV/ from my mom's kampung day stories and i want too! hehehe
Really? Scary..
ReplyDeleteYeah,its is all over twitter,FB & online news =/
ReplyDeletewow! what happened! so heavy rain? or something got stucked?
ReplyDelete@Nicole Actual cause is not yet determined and yeah, we just experienced flash flood and i suspect it has to do with the drainage at a newly constructed mall, ION.
