BUT BECKY!!!

There are just too many masks in the market lately with all kinds of special ingredients for your face and after a while, everything is just a blur. There is no point of having tons (obviously an exaggeration) of elements in a mask but it does not alow your face to absorb as much as it should.

This is where ‘but, Becky Radiance Luminescence Pearl Mask' comes into the picture. It has ginko essence and packed with vitamin A & C blab la. But what makes it so special is the Pearl extract.

It also comes in a generous pack of 8.

With a clean face, apply the wet and cooling 3D mask on your face and rest for 10-20 minutes. Because of the ear and neck holder with a more stretchy material, you can really feel your skin pulled tight.

Thanks to the pearl extract, it helps absorbs more of those wonderful ingredients making your face MORE moisturized  fairer and clearer.

Get your hands on a box of ‘but, Becky Radiance Luminescence Pearl Mask' at participating outlets and try their other types of masks too!

Fun at Marina Barrage

After the wedding at Hougang [click here for link], we all headed to Marina Barrage to let the kids run ‘free’ at the water playground and run free they did. Irfan was the first one in because the lorry (with Mak, Sis and BIL) arrived first while we got semi-lost from the road closures.

The weather was hot and sunny and despite me telling myself to be more grown up and chill, I still managed to get myself wet, calves high with rolled up jeans with ankle high water. The water was so cooling under the humid weather and I was jealous watching the kids splashing away.

It was a delight watching the kids with their antics. From running around, rolling, jumping and whatever kids do at their best. Best of all, Jhon just got his camera so it’s a perfect start to get the hang of the camera after the mini shoot with Irfan.

While the kids play, the adults had their mini photo shoot.

It was fun because we were not the posy kind of family expect for my SIL, Kak Yana. Lol So we were semi awkward, trying hard to try different poses.

More photos of the kids!

We ended the day by buying Satay at East Coast and laughed at the photos at home. It was truly a fun day.

Wedding at Hougang

I got to admit, if I saw my cousin, I would never ever recognize her because we have never met. Her dad is my late grandma’s sister’s daughter’s daughter. @_@ Did I get it right? I hope so. Haha

Mommy before leaving the house.

The arrival and departure of the bride and groom was earlier than the ‘standard’ time so when we arrived to their venue, they just left. The pavilion looks simple but well decorated. I actually loved it. The place was also crowded so we had a little difficulty to get a table but other than that, everything was rather nice, the food, the ambiance despite of the crowd and variety.

It was also the first time I went to a wedding with many Chinese mostly because of their contacts and family. We actually blended in but still got stares because we were not obviously recognized.

After lunch, we mingled for a while, met my close relatives and watch the kids get slowly cranky from heat. I think the parents managed to get them more or less under control. Look at Syihab, walking like a boss.

One of them is 100%  Chinese and the other is only 1/6 Chinese but I bet you can't tell the difference. lol The boy in yellow is pure Chinese. =p

After a while, we ‘cabut’ and headed to Marina Barrage for a fantastic fun afternoon. There were many photos taken that day so it will be at another post. Watch this space!

Irfan Anaqi, almost 2.

Jhon finally got his hands on a new DSLR and as per normal, Irfan becomes his test subject.
He is turning 2 on 18th January so I guess this can be taken as his pre-birthday shoot. =p
Check out his photoshoot taken last year!

He is big boy now.

Got to love that smile.

Hang in there, Irfan!

This picture makes me laugh. In the background is me and my sis aka the China and Indonesian maids. lololol

Night shots! Pictures are grainy because we didn't bring tripod hur hur

Irfan was so excited seeing buses passing by.

Definitely loving the new camera. I just can't wait for Jhon getting the hang of it and achieve better photos. =D

Belated Xmas & NY Lunch Party

On Friday, workplace organised a belated Christmas and New Year lunch party.

The reason we had it belated because the big bosses were on their end of the year leaves.

Photos were taken by a colleague with his personal D7000 DSLR. Yes, Jhon and my eyes were constantly on that camera and Jhon even managed to test shot it. No edits except for my face to add color because I look pale. =P

Our lunch was held at Roxy Mercury Hotel and the Halal food was rather delicious until they serve the Spaghetti.

The Halal table. Jhon is not at the table because he is the one taking this photo lol

The lunch got funny when they have a small game on the exchange of presents. A lot of photos of laughing and I love it that snap shots photos of me look good. lol Vain pot me. I am suppose to look at the Tender Construction Manager but I am looking at myself and Jhon instead. =P

After 5 years, that was the best lunch I ever went to.

Hello 2013

How was your 1st day of 2013? Hung over, Refreshed or Generally gung ho for the New Year?

I have learnt a lot especially towards the end of the year 2012 and with 2013; I intend to face it with a new disposition.

I will pick my battles. I admit, I set off easily so I need to be aware what the issues are and whether it was worth it. Most of them are pet peeves and since I am most probably have to deal with it every day; it’s obviously not worth it to be pissed every day.

People will always stare and gossip even though I did nothing. I will always keep in mind that I have affected their lives but I will not let them affect mine. If they want to be fictional story tellers or critics with me as their main character, let them be. Only I, those who are close to me and God know the truth.

As much as some people’s actions and consequences are predictable in terms of bad situations, I will try my best not to always expect the bad or worst of others. Even if I was right as a though crossed my mind, I should not be smug about it but hope the best for them. I did that late December and it felt good.

Even though it sucks to be always get the short end of the stick, felt mistreated or disrespected, I will not live by “An eye for an eye” but lead by example. I know it will be very hard but I know it will be worth it and there will be a time for me to shine.

I will lead with those 4 mottos in mind to achieve and maintain a peaceful life with less emotional outbursts. I have started them in December 2012 and I hope I can continue the entire 2013 and years to come.
