Toy Musuem and Other Random Places

It was a last minute outing and all I can say is that I was glad my weekends was open and available. The night before, my SIL asked me for a nice place to visit for Shibly's holiday scrapbook project.

Initially they wanted to go to the science art museum at Marina Bay Sands. I recommended the Mint Toy museum which I thought would be much more fun for him. It also means, show and tell will be presented with full of gusto. Jhon and I have been to the Mint toy museum before [click here] but we were excited to go there again! This time, with Mom and Bro's family.

Shibly and Syihab LOVED it! They were in awe with all the toys on display. When we first started, there were many people so they were obedient, trying to check out the toys. There were several rude people but as long the kids were not hurt or cranky, it was fine.

I feel great knowing that I made the right choice. Jhon was requested to help take photos of the outing for the scrapbook and it was easy to capture the moments when everyone is enjoying themselves.

Shibly also found one of is favorite toy, the Batman mobile. Jhon told me he kept going back to the shelf to look at it.

There were mascots and it would be a perfect addition to the scrapbook but Shibly was shy/scared. I managed to convinced him that it will be okay because he will be taking a photo with his parents and they will not let anything bad happen to him.

As for Syihab, he can't even stand a few feet near them without panicking. lol

When we reached the last floor, the crowd has subsided and the kids turn the place into a playground, mostly play Spaceman vs Aliens.

After the visit, while we decided where to eat, the kids continued playing. lol

We ended up in Breeks at Takashimaya where Syihab turned into a cranky monster!! He cried and screamed until it was embarrassing. Abg and Kak Yana had to take him out of the place several times.

When Jhon offered to take over, immediately, they turned playful again. Should have sent Jhon earlier. =P

After that, we went to the LV Maison whatever. Kak Yana called it the LV island at Marina Bay Sands. The ladies bought LV handbags wor... I was offered but I am not into buying random branded bags. If I don't need it, I won't buy it. Needless to say, I was standing with the guys and kids on this one.

In afternoon, Shibly overheard my mom mentioned Gardens by the Bay and throughout the entire outing, he kept asking when we were going. It was supposed to be in the late afternoon but since the ladies got hooked at the LV Island, day turned into night.

To avoid disappointment,  we made a quick visit just to keep our promise.
You have no idea how happy it was although it was dark and crowded with people who were somewhat lost looking for the carpark. lol

We went home after 45 minutes or so because everyone was clearly tired and the kids were starting to get cranky for it too.

It was a fun day! I miss family outings like these..

Samurai Burger!!!

Yesterday morning, in the service bus to work, I saw a glimpse of an advertisement read by a colleague. It was an advertisement by McDonalds for SAMURAI BURGER!!!

GARGH!

I was happy but stressed at the same time because I always try to watch what I eat and I just ate pizza, spicy drumlets and garlic bread from Pizza hut the night before! I always try to schedule my fast food eating days but I was tempted to get my hands on Samurai burger that same day.

My mind was at war with itself as it debates on my fast food intake. By mid afternoon, I firmly decided to do my exercise after work instead and eat the burger over the weekends or something. In other words, don’t be over excited can?

By evening, guess what was in front of me?

I am weak! Samurai burger, why are you so delicious?

The Wedding at Lagun Sari

It is my first wedding visit held in Lagun Sari. It was Wati's sister's wedding.

Jhon and I supposed to meet with Fizah at 1:30pm but she was late so we headed in first.

When we arrived, the bride and groom was already up in their seats and they looked wonderful in their red outfits. Look at the ceiling! Chandeliers! I am a sucker for them and it's all over the ceiling.

The wedding deco was lovely although I thought the place was a little cramped. Just a little, it's not THAT troublesome to maneuver. Food was delicious with a wide variety of dishes. We were spoilt for choice.

As soon as we finished with our lunch, Fizah arrived. Wati and husband even joined us to chit-chat.

We stayed a while longer, until the bride and groom had an outfit change and for cake cutting.
Look at Wati's cute baby girl, all grown up.

BLUEK!!

Congrats to Kak Wahimahwati and husband!

Why I Dislike Hugging Women

I love hugs but since I am socially awkward, I always find myself making hugs even more awkward for me.

Reasons to not hug guys in general is easy. I can just say I draw a line on how and who I hug. Now, girls in general love hugging each other but I always find it awkward!

Why I find it awkward? It's the boobs!
[Drew on paint. Nice or not? lol]

Hugging with other women always bothers me, even if it's my mom or sis. I always think, how to we deal with the boobs when we hug?

Should we do the Jigsaw Puzzle? Linking boobs while hugging to feel a more fitted hug? What if the other lady does not realize you are attempting it? Would it mean more maneuvering to fit? What if one has smaller boobs?

Or do we have our boobs squish together which most ladies do I suppose. But it's just awkward having my boobs squishing to another pair of boobs! What if the lady has thick padding? I've experienced this before and it was uncomfortable for me. Although kudos for her being confident with her thick padding lol.

That is why, most of my life, I hug like this

It has never fails me but some had told me that my hugs always looked stiff.
I can't blame them since all I could think of what do to and how to position my boobs. =P

Newborn Baby

Jhon and I visited Fizah's house for Hari Raya and at the same time, to check out their new addition to the family, Zafrul Affan. He is Fizah's nephew, born on the first of hari raya.

Zafrul was exactly 2 weeks old when we took his picture. It was 'scary' for us because he is so so fragile and we can't move him as much as we want to because we don't want to make him feel uncomfortable. We just want to attempt taking less cliche baby photos.

Another challenge was no flash was allow because he is still a baby and it would be too harsh for his eyes. We ended up taking photos in Fizah's room for ample amount of natural light.

Congratulations to Fizah's sis, Fazilah to the new addition to the family!

The Day The Sky High Fived

I was in my work service bus heading home and as I looked up, to my surprise, I saw this!

It immediately brighten up my tired day and naturally, whipped out my camera phone and snapped a shot.

Despite the fact that the pinkie and thumb is not fully formed, I love that every part of the hand is spot on. I feel so lucky and happy to spot this and in just a few minutes, the clouds merged.

I may have not witnessed double rainbows but I don't anyone experienced the sky giving them a high five! hehe

Create Your Own Creative Facebook Cover

As much as most love to hate the Facebook timeline, it is here to stay so we might as well get use to it and have fun with it.

We have seen it all, all the creative covers which made the timeline tolerable.

Recently, I had a mini photo shoot in my traditional outfit for fun, found a favorite and wanted to put it up as my Facebook profile.

Unfortunately, background was quite a spoiler because the picture was a candid and random shot.

I decided to photoshop myself onto a black and white background.

Edit, edit, edit...

And used http://www.trickedouttimeline.com/ so make the necessary adjustments to make it fit perfectly.

It took me a while but nothing an amateur can't do.

After a while, TA DA!

Perhaps not superbly creative but for a first timer, I think it's great =P

Some of my friends liked it too because I managed to garner quite a number of likes.

Give it a try!  http://www.trickedouttimeline.com/ really helped with the finishing touches.

p/s: not an ad!
