Renewing Our Passports

Guess who went to ICA renew our passports?

MEEEEE! Along with my mom and Fizah. Fizah’s passport is expiring on May while mine & mom’s are on November. I know, it is a long way to go but I figured that it’s better to do it as soon as possible before it’s too late or we totally forgot about it.

 We could have gone to post out our forms but I wanted to take my photo at ICA because their camera is way better than our nearby photograph shops. *vain*

My mom had already taken her photo so I just brought her form along and I made Jhon renew his Philippine passport this Tuesday so he took photos too. =D

Everything was breezy and left the building in 30-45minutes, most of the time wasted giggling and playing around.

This is the first time mom took her passport photo with a headscarf, Fizah is unhappy with her photo, Jhon said he didn’t smile because there were a lot of wrinkles when he does and I look so matured with beady eyes!

Imagine if I have that contact lens that makes your iris bigger, I am sure I will look like a shark.

Anyways, I hope it gets renewed faster-quick because guess who is going for a vacation on April?

Feel What It Is Like To Be Invincible

Superheroes like Superman, Wonder Woman, Spiderman have one thing in common.

Invincibility

You punched, stabbed, smashed them to the ground and hit them with a steel beam and they show no emotion of pain because they really don’t feel any pain and go “meh” to the evil doers.

I bet everyone has ever wondered how it feels like to not feel pain.

Confirm “syiok” right?

Well, you can have a taste of what it feels like!

Get someone to pinch as hard as they can on the skin of your elbow!

Since there are less nerve sensors there, you don’t feel any pain and yes I know this is such an old trick but just love the feeling.

Especially a guy like Jhon, pinching me with all his might with his big manly hands, I feel so powerful and almost boastful-like because he can’t hurt me and I would giggle with pride.

It is also helpful when I feel so “geram” or feel frustrated with him; I pinch him on his elbow. Not only I will feel better, I won’t hurt him.

   

Missing It When It’s Gone

The ability to control your poop.

I have been missing in action in the world wide web because I have been down with gastric and diarrhea. I had it since Thursday with 2 days MC and was okay on Saturday. In fact, I went out to Queenstown the whole afternoon without a problem.

On Sunday, I started to have feel bloated and was burping and farting like some gassy orchestra.

I still went to work on Monday only to go back home after 1 hour there because I guess I look like crap (pun unintended) so my mentor shooed me away.

5 days staying at home seems delightful but not when all you can think of is if you can make it to the toilet in time. What makes things worse, the internet at my home is down for a few days so I was really out of sync with the cyber world.

Internet is still down but I am work now, trying to squeeze in a quick blog post. As for my tummy, still bloated but better. =)

   

Unintended Comment or Sexual Harassment?

I was printing some documents and I overheard a conversation between a male to a female co-worker.

She was wearing a bright red tight bare backed top and just came out from a room.

The guy commented that she looks like a Hong Bao (Chinese New Year Packet) and as they were giggling at each other, he added, “Hong Baos must be opened” while looking at her. He even repeated it when she didn’t hear him clearly.

Is it me or he just implied that her clothes ought to be taken off or ripped off?

That was the first thing that came to my head. Perhaps I am dirty minded or it was just a comment that was not intended to sound that way.

Either way, it was a very awkward moment and I am glad that I am not a part of it.

She sort of deserved it anyways. This lady is known for showing off her saggy boobs with revealing clothes. I find it very inappropriate for office.

If he really didn’t meant it that way, FHL.

   

That Valentine’s Day Explaination

Jhon told me about his confused colleague.

His Chinese colleague asked her Malay friend who wore a headscarf/hijab if she is celebrating Valentine’s Day. She answered no, she usually doesn’t and that Muslims cannot celebrate Valentine’s Day because it is not good.

Naturally, Jhon’s colleague asked why and do you know what her friend said?

“YOU GO FIND OUT YOURSELF!!”

I was appalled to that answer!

Islam is always misunderstood and I hate it when Muslims don’t explain themselves when someone from other religions asks questions. Isn’t it good that they are asking question and want to learn and understand?

And these people will go around confused, think with their own notions why and unknowingly spread untrue reasons to others.

So yesterday, she asked Jhon about Valentine’s Day since he is dating me.

Luckily, I had explained to him why Muslims cannot celebrate so he explained it to her. I am so proud of Jhon, a non-Muslim, who managed to explain to her correctly and the fact that he was listening to me. Haha

[Source of Valentine’s Day comes from Christian/Catholic history when they celebrate a day for Saint Valentine. The true story was vague but it was about Saint Valentine marrying off a soldier when he was not supposed to. Google for it if you are interested to know more in detail]

Anyways, everyday is a day of love for me. I am lucky to have a boyfriend like Jhon. He still reaches out for my hand when I am alighting the bus just like a countess (I don’t want princess, princess is so overrated) and steal a flower for me at events when I told him. He is willing to do “crime” for me, I find it psychopathic-ally romantic. Hehehe
