Punggol Waterway

Here's presenting you the most back dated post ever because this outing was on September of 2013. I've mentioned before that there were so many back logging of photos and since this outing is not very interesting, it's always been pushed further back as more interesting and important outings occur.

Well, we went trailing at Punggol Waterway for the first time. I've always wanted to explore this place but never got into it until we had to survey it for a possible project.

It's a little troublesome for us to go there from our place but we made it! There were many people hanging around the place but after 10am, we had the place almost all to ourselves. Why ah?

The park was clean and green and has potential to grow greener as there are trees/shrubs still growing. Which explains the lack of shade except for certain areas of the park.

Architecturally, the park looks great! I can see why wedding/ graduation photo shoots are taken here. Although they tend to be just committed with just the bridge when there are other wonderful spots.

One thing for sure was that day, the day went hot very quickly. Luckily, I had brought drinks and food for a quick break under a shade.

Cap placed like Mat rep because it was getting too sweaty. Now I know why they wear their caps like this.

While walking, we spotted a nice looking bird's nest among the trees. Can you spot it?

*abrupt end*

Klarity Lasertox™ CC Miracle White Lotion Review

Hello! I've received a package from a brand named Klarity and they sent me 2 products to review. One of them is the Lasertox™ CC Miracle White Lotion which I will be reviewing in this post.

[click here for the Klarity™ Lasertox™ Slim Up Mask review]

Firstly, what is Lasertox™?

"Lasertox™ is a functional treatment methodology that brings you targeted treatment to improve on specific concerns, by adopting the laser technology which reinforces efficient penetration of the natural beauty essences into skin's dermis layer. It is researched by dermatologists in Korea with formula from France and Switzerland."

So what does the CC miracle white lotion do?
It has what I describe lightheartedly as the kiasu version of a lotion because it has 11-in-1 multi functions!

With a sun screen factor of SPF30/PA++, Lasertox™ CC Miracle White Lotion not only protects your skin from harmful UV rays, it also prevents photo-aging and dark spots among other issues. It's the first CC cream with no colorant, can be used on face and body it's even Halal certified.

Now the test.
I placed a small amount on my arms and gently massaged it onto my skin. A small amount could go a long way and application was smooth and light. It was not sticky and not oily. My skin was matte and does not feel I had the lotion on at all.

Well, you can tell why I tested on my arm. I've been spending my days jogging and swimming and I started to get a tan. I have no idea why my hands are not tan so it looks like I am wearing a white translucent glove almost like a cat with white paws but not as cute.

But I digress.

Lighting was suddenly inconsistent but you still can see the results.

It was immediate! I kept rubbing but there was no more lotion to rub and all was left was a band of white skin on my arm! Amazeballs! I am not sure if it's truly working or its just the lotion's properties that lingers on the skin.

BUT!

After a while, the fairness "disappears". Granted, it was just a first try and not a test over a long period of time but it does seem to have potential. One thing for sure I can confidentially say is that the lotion is quite strong (hence the laser name). I had a blotch of lotion on my hand for 5+ minutes trying to get a good angle to take a photo and gave up and removed it.

I didn't took notice until a few hours later, I felt an itch and there was a stain/ bruise like spot on exactly I had the lotion. I tried to take a photo of it but it was faint and hard to capture. I know it does not seem much but it would not be so if it's on a face or even worse, a bigger patch. I figured, maybe it would go away but this photo was taken 1 day later.

It could be from few reasons. Skin allergy? Although my arm was fine. Or I had too much lotion sitting on my skin for too long. Obviously, I would apply the lotion thinly but it makes me question on the effects of long term wear. You see, I have sensitive skin so I can't really vouch for other types of skin.

So would I recommend Lasertox™ CC Miracle White Lotion? I would suggest to those who does not have sensitive skin to give it a try and use it sparingly.

7th Year Anniversary at 2Degree Ice Art

Today marks our relationship of 7 years! Even Facebook wished us happy anniversary, since when they do that huh? keke

Anyways, our anniversary falls on a Monday and since Jhon is lacking of annual leaves, we decided to celebrate it in advance on Saturday. We visited the 2Degree Ice Art exibihition near Marina Bay Sands which was at it's 2nd last day of exhibition. Talk about last minute!

We came early because I love to beat the crowds especially when it's the weekends, public holiday and the fact the the exhibition period is almost over and beat the crowd we did. We practically had the whole place all to ourselves and got crowded at 11am when we were just hanging out waiting for the snowfall time.

We rented out jackets and bought gloves and entered the exhibition with excitement. (Visitors can bring their own if they have any). You would think going to such a place that does not rent out boots, visitors have the common sense to wear shoes but I've actually seen someone wearing sandals and 1 wearing a short skirt! WUT?

Anyways, this is the second time we went to a snow/ice exhibition. Our first one was at Snow city [click here for post] and it's a little hard to compare. Jackets and gloves were way better at Snow City and although they have a bigger slide, you get to slide made from ice at 2Degree Ice Art and not to mention 2Degree has a bigger ice exhibit.

The moment I entered, I was so pumped because the ice sculptures were big and beautiful. It was freezing (duh) and the first real chill that hit me was my hands because the gloves were thin. If you are like me, who must touch and hold everything, yup, be prepared for a numbing pain cold on your fingers.

They have sculptures and artwork of famous landmarks in the world created by famous art sculpture masters. The London’s Big Ben and Paris’ Eiffel Tower among others were all in a form of ice. Jhon had brought his DSLR but the lens couldn't handle it and started to fog. Horray for handphone camera!

Frankly speaking, the place was not that big. If you just walk around, tried the slides once (or not), it probably would take 20-30 minutes to finish and it's about roughly the time the cold would really hit.

But it's us, specifically, me.

We took our time, taking photos, I took the slide probably 5 or 6 times, walked back and forth, videoing the entire place (vlog at the end of blog keke) and just chill (pun not intended) in one corner.

Besides the fact that we want to fully enjoy the place, we where also waiting for the timed snow fall but after spending 1 hour in there, we wanted to surrender. Luckily, after we asked the crew, we were allowed 1 re-entry so apa lagi? We exited and basked in the heat and waited for 11.30am.

While getting our body temperature back to normal, hordes of people came in, mostly the elderly probably for an excursion but no fuss, we had thoroughly enjoyed the place and only wanted snow fall.

When the time was right, we re-entered, waited for another 5 minutes and weeeeeeeeee!!!!! Our first snow fall experience albeit it was fake. Watch the vlog for pure happiness.

By the way, they had an ice bar which was basically an entire bar that is made of ice. It was only open from 3pm onwards and we were not as interested anyways. =P You can buy a real ice mug for $9 drink from it and smash it later on.

After the snow, we brushed off the excess snow, and headed for the overpriced hot coffee and milo at $2 each. After body temperature went back to normal again, we went for lunch at Aspirasi at Seah Im Food Centre, yey for bus no. 97. Unfortunately, the chicken rice on that day was a hit and miss.

Happy anniversary, Mahal ko. It's been 7 great years and I pray for more to come.

Government Say I Old Liao

2 weeks before my 30th birthday, I received a letter from the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority. The letter where the government officially says that I don't look as young as my NIRC anymore.

2 months later after much digress and forgetfulness, I finally had a recent photo ID taken to submit. I hope they accept my application because by right, I am supposed to post within 1 month. Kwang kwang kwang...

I took my photo at FotoHub at Changi City Point and it was a breeze. I don't know, I kinda dislike taking photo IDs. I guess I had bad experiences especially during my younger years. I can remember the auntie asking me to smile but then said my eyes were too small so I had to "open" them.

Racist much, auntie?

And when I attempted to "open" my eyes, she would asked me to smile bigger and when I smiled bigger, she asked me to "open" my eyes and the cycle goes on and on until I got cranky and sometimes sweaty. In the end, my photos always looked solemn and emotionless.

Cue primary school bus pass.

Kesian kan? haha So my collection of photo IDs from young to old seems to be emotionless to happiness.

Happy Happy Birthday to Me..... ♫

Thanks to SIL, I got myself a birthday family outing/party! yahoo! We spent our day at East Coast Park. Some of us took a dip in the sea, some played with the sand, some just sat around and others enjoying the breeze.

It's hard to have Sis and family to join our outings so I was happy to have them around. Now we are just 1 person short. =(

I have been wanting to play in the sand for the longest time so believe me when I went crazy. Thanks for still managing to get good snap shots of me, Jhon. hehehe I managed to make 3 types of sand castles/ models and was sweating like crazy.

Talking to invisible friend. haha

Picnic-picnic with Mee Goreng!

Lepas tu, continue playing with the sand. The sun made Jhon look like a naughty China man.

Then we buried Shibly and Syihab. Irfan didn't wanted to participate. He said it will get him dirty. haha Go figure.

Behind the scenes.

Butt crack!

Irfan had superman moments with daddy.

After beach time, they went to play with the skateboards. I love their helmets!

After that, I got my fun time of finally trying out the surrey. You know, the bicycle that seats 4/5 adults and 3 kids. It's called a surrey, had to google it =P

While renting one, I managed to snag the last one and not only that, I found $50 bucks! Syiok because renting the surrey at East Coast Park cost me $40! So thank you stranger who lost the $50. Thanks for the birthday present. hehe

Jhon and I cycled with Mom, Sis, BIL and kids the first round. It was a tough because they are heavier group and lazy to cycle. -_-

The 2nd and longest round was with Bro and SIL and kids because they are the active group so we cycled like the wind! It was so hilarious because everyone was casually cycling and we cycled as if we were in a race. Not only that, the entire surrey, shelter and all would rapidly bounce up and down as we pumped every kick.

Definitely, the best part of the day. hehehe

Actually, I expected the day to end before evening but before I knew, it was getting dark and we have not officially celebrated my birthday. SIL bought rainbow cupcakes and it was YUMMY! No kidding! It was better than the over-rated cupcake brands we all know.

This is taken before he dropped the lollipop in the sand and had it in his mouth for 1 second.

After few cupcakes, we packed up and headed to some random coffee shop to have supper. I didn't order anything because I was more to thirsty and I think everyone just wanted their coffee fix.

It was a great 30th birthday because I get to act like a 03 year old. hehe
