Goodbye 2014

I wouldn't say 2014 was a fantastic year nor it was a terrible year. I suppose I could call it the right in between year which I can't complain.

I've lost my last grandparent and had participated in 'mandi jenazah' for the first time. I've been blogging more about wedding stuff, had standard family outings and many special outings with Jhon. Like I said, in between.

[Pictures consolidated over the year]

For what it's worth, I am still very grateful for the year that has been gifted to me. I just hope it's not the calm before the storm because I could tell 2015 would be an interesting ride. All I know is that I am ending this year with no regrets and I am so thankful Jhon and I are ending the year with a great surprise.

The next day, technically, everyone was supposed to go to the wedding together but we went in 2 groups. Mak, Kakak and family had a head start while the rest of us went later... much, much later. Kak Yana supposed to go for her Great Eastern Run but she did it in her dreams. lol I don't know what happened next but Bro and her ended up picking us late and we ended up missing the kepak-bing-bing.

To me, it's the best and most entertaining part of a wedding but oh well. We can't complain because dah bagus tu orang nak drive. Tak nak lambat, naik teksi ah. haha

Besides that, for the first time in 3 years, Ayah came along to a family event. To my loyal readers, I bet you must have wondered why I hardly mentioned my dad or even have photos of my dad when we go out. Well, he is around,.. And my cousin should feel very honored that my dad actually attend her wedding because Hari Raya pun susah kita nak bersatu.

OPAHH..

Anyways, when we arrived, the bride and groom just left so we sat down and ate and waited and of course, take photos to kill time.

Auntie and nephew.

Abg Awil Sing song.

Videoing husband singing song.

Took picture of BIL singing song then tried to run away when realized his picture of him was taken.

While taking photo, practically all the aunties where commenting tall I was. I'm not THAT tall okay. My Mak also short. But I love this picture.

Kakak looks nice here.

Father of the bride singing.

For the first time in many years, Kak Yana sang.

My Bro punya turn pulak videoing his spouse. lol
You won't see me or Jhon doing this to each other because we can't sing to save our lives. lol

Ada fan. lol

Thank you speech.

Their birthday's were within the same week.

Family Portrait and I just love, love, love this shot.

My family portrait. If Abg Jamil was around, it would be a bonus!
Thanks to Ina's wedding, I get to experience a complete family outing after so, so long! I also get to taste how it would be like when I have my wedding. Perhaps it would not be so bad. Maybe just a sour faced mom every time dad is in the picture. *garuk kepala*

Selamat Pengantin Baru, Ina and ND!
Okay, as I post this, not baru anymore. lol

#azzynd Solemnisation

One of my maternal cousins got married on 8th November. Firstly, I would like to say that I love her bridal room and her pelamin. I was ooh-ing and ahh-ing the entire time and even now, as I looked at her pelamin, I still go wahhh... There's just something about a simple or pastel colors that calls out beauty in a humble way.

We arrived the place quite early so we had ample time to have lunch and be vain pots. Hey, it's rare time for Jhon and I made extra effort to look nice to must take photo. hehe

I don't know why I looked stiff here.

Sisters. Thanks for the top. lol

Sisters.

While waiting for the groom and Tok Kadi. lol

Opps... dah sampai.

First time I see a groom who was always smiling like tak ada apa2. Usually I see grooms all tensed and would give nervous smiles or laughs.

Laughing is contagious.

Akad Nikah also senyum macam takde apa2. hehe

Just like her younger sister, Ina had a mini dais in her 2nd living room. Oh, did I mention I've always adored their house too? Not only it's humongous, it's also spacious. My house nak letak mini dais? Tough luck!

Sign, jangan tak sign.

Downstairs.

Tepung Tawar or in my words, the renjis-renjis-dipilis.

It was the first time my siblings did it and it was so amusing. lol You see, usually, the renjis-renjis-dipilis has always been done by elders; nenek-datuk, pakcik-makcik. And to see my own siblings who I don't see as pakcik-makcik attempting this rite of passage was hilarious! I kept nudging and laughing at them that they are officially pakcik-makcik liao.

Kecoh!

After the ceremony, we relaxed around, let my mom took care and chit-chat with her sister and headed home.

Will blog about the wedding ceremony on the next post!
