Singapore From the River

This is part two from Views from the Singapore Flyer.

After lunch, it started to drizzle so we bought an umbrella and walked to Merlion Park.

The boat was nice and there is an open area at the back. Naturally, Jhon and I choose the seats there so we can have a clearer view to take pictures.

It's nice to see the Singapore River and landmarks at a different point of view. It was refreshing and new.

The duration of the ride was 1 hour which I think was enough before it gets boring.

Jhon and I took a break at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, walked around and headed home. Silly Jhon forgot to fully charge his camera so we missed out a few interesting spots to shoot. Perhaps we should come again to explore more.

Views from the Singapore Flyer

This is the second time Jhon and I have taken the Singapore Flyer. The first we went was at night and this time, it was in the morning.

It's really nice to see Singapore's skyline in 2 different scenes.

Before we rode Singapore Flyer, we went through 'Journey of Dreams'. An exhibition/showcase for a deeper appreciation of the Singapore Flyer.

After all the exploration and shadow play, we eventually took the flyer. The morning was hazy so most of of the landscape looks hazy. Luckily, we started to take photos is RAW format and with photo editing, we managed to salvage most of the photos.

I am really happy with how the photos turned out. All credits to Jhon!

After the ride, we headed downstairs to Rainforest Discovery. It is just a small area with waterfalls, ponds and lush greenery.

We took a peek of the Singapore Food Trail. It's a 1960's food street theme eating place. The place looks interesting but didn't have our lunch there because I don't see any Halal stalls. But Jhon did buy a coke from a glass bottle. =)

We ate at Popeyes for our late lunch and went to part two of our day which was the Singapore River Cruise. Yes, we were very touristy on that day. Perks on having a foreign boyfriend. I doubt any local would been this keen to go through this with me.

I would never find Singapore boring!

Packing + Rough Itinerary

I have 2 days to go and I have started some light packing for Philippines. I am not the kind of person who can pack on the departure date itself for fear of forgetting something.

This anxiety has even brought to me to actually writing a list of items that I should bring. It gives me an assurance that everything is counted for and boy that list is long!

These are the moments when it sucks to be a girl because I have plenty of cosmetics and hair products to bring. And since this is the longest holiday I ever had which is 6 days so clothes are plenty. I hope I can squeeze in all in my small luggage.

For the first time, I am not in charge of planning a holiday and it's HARD! I like to plan ahead and research as much as I can while Jhon likes to go with the flow and wing it. It can drive me crazy and I have to try my best no to be bossy about it.

This is the rough itinerary.

Which I suppose quite legit but I don't know what time we are going and what are the exact locations. Despite being not in control, I still have high hopes that I will have a great time.

It's an adventure and I hope everything will go as roughly planned. =D

My Favourite Avengers Superhero

Everyone knows by now that the epic movie 'The Avengers' is releasing soon in Singapore.

Posters, trailers, photos are everywhere!

"Marvel Studios presents "Marvel's The Avengers" - the Super Hero team up of a lifetime, featuring iconic Marvel Super Heroes Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threaten global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins."

Now here comes most probably the common question asked, which Avengers superhero you would like to be or who is your favourite Avengers Superhero?

But first, who is MY favourite Avengers Superhero? Let's go through them all first shall we?
This is my quirky impression on them.

Maybe... I am biased because technically I have already chosen my favourite superhero before I did the 'analysis' but you got to admit, most of them are true.

Just in case no one gets it, I like Thor.

The fact that he is God and not a puny human, he has already won hands down. Sure, I could choose Loki who is also a GOD but his reputation sucks!

Now Thor! God of THUNDER! He had a rocky start, being pampered, pompous God and all but he managed to prove himself worthy! And which lady can't resist an ex-bad boy God?

*gulps*

So who is YOUR favourite Avengers superhero?

My First Crocs Shoes!

Click here to read about Crocs’ new collection of shoes that got me addicted.

After all these years and hype, I finally got myself not only 1 but 2 Crocs shoes. Thanks to Crocs and OMY. Why now? Besides the fact that it was sponsored (haha), I feel that Crocs has finally release a collection that is more to my taste and mind you, I am a very picky customer.

I bought the 2 pairs of shoes at Plaza Singapura and I was so happy that I got my hands on 2 of my favourite designs that I favourited on the Crocs Mix & Match App!

Yahoo! There were not many customers there so I even made my victory dance and cat walked the entire place because they were so comfortable.

Before I show you what are the shoes that I got, I want to share other items Crocs has generously gave us!

Yummy customized candy.

A lanyard.

And vouchers galore.

Now back to my show and tell.

I got myself an A-Leigh Wedge Leather – Stucco

Premium leather upper sandal with textile lining.
2 ¾-inch cork-wrapped wedge heel for a little lift.
Adjustable ankle strap for a custom fit.
Molded Croslite™ material wedge and footbed for signature Crocs comfort.
Footbed nubs offer a massage-like feel.
Non-marking Croslite™ material outsole.

I like it that it is simple, clean and classy. I know I can look good and presentable with any outfit with this pair of shoes, out for a casual outing or for work. The height is just nice for me and because of its special footbed, this is the most comfortable pair of wedges I have ever own.

My 2nd pair is Adrina Flat – Espresso/ Bronze

Molded circular transparent TPU design delivers fun in a classic silhouette.
Footbed features Croslite™ material circulation nubs for a massage-like feel.
Non-marking Croslite™ material outsole.

I love this shoe because it’s soft inside out and it hugs my feet well. I am rather energetic and tend to run, jump or skip around so I love that I have that extra bounce in my step. It is as if I am wearing my sports shoes.

Crocs has released new colors to this design and I wanted the Chameleon version in Strawberry color but I changed my mind when I saw the Espresso/Bronze. Yeah, I have a boring fashion sense. Perhaps I should join the Crocs Makeover Contest.

I bought my flats with Capitaland vouchers and had $10 to left spend so I bought these! One for me, one for my nephew. It's the pins for Crocs shoes and no, I won't put them on mine. I just find it so cute!
