Review: Love More Facial Masks

Do you know any of these ladies?

Well, I don’t. hahaha

Mainly because I don’t follow Taiwan or Hong Kong pop culture but one thing I know is that celebrities there usually have beautiful, soft and smooth skin (stares at the pictures again and feel depressed) and I only happen to know of them because they are endorsers for

Love More Facial Masks!

You would think, “Sighs, it is just another mask with pretty endorsers to promote them”
I got to admit, I thought so too until I received the masks.

Just standard cute boxes?

Look closer…They have 3D masks!

More on that later.

If you think the boxes are cute, wait until you see the mask packs. It looks like an envelope! Each box contains 5 packs and I am so lucky to receive 3 types of masks each.

Naturally, being overly excited me; the first mask I tried was Electric One Peptic Firming Duo Lifting Mask. Not only because it’s unique feature but I really need to start maintain the tightness of my skin before it starts to sag. I have officially begun my quest for the fountain of youth since I am turning 27 this year. =/

Let me introduce you, the special 3D mask.

They not only focus on our faces but also the neck area with ear hooks to gently lift and tighten our faces as its wonderful nutrients seeps into our skin.

I got to admit, I was a little cautious in pulling the mask to my ears because I was afraid I might tear them but because of the material the mask was made of, you don’t have to be so delicate with it so just gently pull the hooks to your ears.

I really love the tight feeling of my skin as the mask pulls it, that the neck area is fully covered and reaches even to the back of my ear. Syiok ah!

Left it on for 20 minutes and ta da!

This is me without make up.

Skin is just a little smoother but it feels tighter and I noticed that I look fairer and fresher. Do I still look like I am turning 27? [Hint Answer: No] =p

I have tried the other masks too. I love that the effects can be seen immediately right after I wash my face. My face looks fresher, clean and radiant. The effects for me is especially noticeable when I put on my make up the next day. Even my boyfriend noticed the difference because of my better looking skin, my make up seems more even and smoother.

Still unconvinced? Try it yourself!

By the way, I will be joining their "Take a picture with Love More Facial Mask" contest and I need your votes so watch this space ya?

Wati & Adi's Solemnisation

Wati and Adi's wedding arrangement was a little different to the standard malay wedding, although many weddings nowadays has changed throughout the years. Usually a malay wedding has both bride and groom sides with their own location and solemnisation was held the day before the wedding event.

As for them, it was a combined wedding where both solemnisation and wedding event taken on the same day.

Since Jhon has taken a lot of photos for me and I have little time to sit down and go through each and every one, I decided to post the entire day by parts.

First, the solemnisation which started about 10am on 23rd January 2011.
Jhon had a head start and arrived at the location while I was at Wati's home waiting for her to get ready.

I absolutely love her "stage"

(note to self, get an oval shaped stage)

Her gifts to him is in black & silver, the best gift would be the Armani watch & PS3 Quran.
Wati's best gift would be the blackberry prayer head scarf which she can't wait to use.
=P

They have 2 types of event cakes and this is the first one, the solemnisaton cake which is make of glutinous rice, tumeric, coconut etc. It was a traditional cake and I love it whenever it is part of a wedding.

Well, the "tok kadi" eventually arrived and the ceremony began.

Officially husband & wife. I really like their Javanese outfit.

What is a Javanese theme without Javanese dancing?

Cake cutting and the standard feeding of the cake. hehe

Quick shots of our ex-secondary school mates. The lady in the bottom right is Wati's elder sis and yes, my fringe was curled in because it was hot and I was sweaty. =(

And off we go, back to Wati's house for an outfit change for the official start of the wedding event.
Silly of Wati's sis, she forgot to give me a spare key and just had left the house when we came over so we were locked out from the house for 3 minutes. haha

Indian guy is Adi's bestman with his wife and me, the Maid of honor. *shy shy*

I really don't expect to be one, in fact, I scoffed at the idea but I can't deny her for wanting someone to help and be there for her throughout the wedding. Wati is one of those super nice people so why not?

Well, end of the solemnisaton event.
Stay tuned for the next part.

1 Week Old Irfan Anaqi Gets A Bling-Bling

For those who had missed out, click here for the update. :)

As of 25th January 2011, Irfan is 1 week old. He has what I like to call, aired out thus less wrinkly.
Look at those eyes.. Big and elongated eyes with parallel eyelids.. *jealous*

It also meant that it has been 5 days he rested on 5 different types of Batik cloth which was placed upon a tray filled with rice & money.

Technically, it was suppose to be 7 layers but since he only came back home 2 days after he was born, he used only 5 where every day, every layer was removed.

My mom told me that every layer represented every day and it was sort of slowing welcoming him into the new home. As for the money and rice, it represented abundance of sustenance or livelihood.

Lo and behold, guess what did little Irfan got even before turning 1 week old?

His daddy's brother gave him not one, but TWO gold rings.

It is so puny and cute that I can turn it into earings!! Of course Irfan is not wearing them because he might scratch himself with them. So the earrings rings are safely kept by his mommy.

I place the rings next to 5 cent coin just to show you how small it is.

The coin is still smaller!

What's Your Talent?

Not everyone knows their true talent. Some may discover their talent at a young age or older or some don't even get to know their true talent; perhaps even if they do, they found out that the talent is not worth anything, like "long distance spitting".

Now how does that benefit your future? =/

Everyone always wished that their future was already set since young. No worries on which skill to harnest and what type of classes to take.

No hint needed to figure out what this kid is going to do in his near future.

Now, if you are like me, unsure about what is my true talent, perhaps you can try taking this fun quiz.

You can even win a Xbox360 and Microsoft Kinect!!
Even if you don't win, you may win $20 worth of vouchers just by sharing the contest!

Click "like" for Infocomm Talent SG, click on the Contest Page & Play!

It's that easy.

As for me, my results was "Database Architect"

It is in a building/construction industry which I am in now but in a different scope. It's somewhat comforting that I am near it but sad because I wish my true talent could be cooler. =P

Dashikahwati's Henna Night

But first, we went to the wedding location for a sneak peak and check if the deco was in order.

It was generally okay except for a few kinks that were easily resolved.

The henna lady was 1 hour late but thankfully it did not effect her workmanship. It was obvious that she has skills and speed that wowed us.

Wati's design was simple and really sweet, just the way she wanted it.

All these while, one of her kitties, "Yot-Yot", either roamed and sniffed around or simply rested in her favorite spot.

Good Kitty. =)

New Baby In The Family

My sis was already at her last trimester and the baby's expected date was 26th January 2011.

We sort of expected the baby early but we didn't expect it this early.

On 18th January 2011 at 7.15am as I was just about to leave to go to work, my sis told me that she had a blood discharge. One of the early signs of labor. So we woke everyone up and I decided to take an urgent leave.

My mom told sis to keep calm and there was no need to rush. In fact, we even had McDonald's breakfast before my bro and I sent my sis and BIL to KK Hospital.

My bro and I waited in the waiting area for a few hours, went out to pick my SIL and I hung out at his place. My sis at that time was 5-6cm dilated and there was no progress, infact, we heard that the baby's heartbeat was slowing down. We really don't want to loose this baby like how we lost Nadia Natasha.

Day turned to night and it was only at 12+am when my BIL called saying that my sis had underwent a C-section and all is well.

Hoorayy!

We visited them the next day and both mommy and baby is healthy.

Irfan = Kebaikan (Goodness)
Anaqi = Keindahanmu, Menawan Ha'tiku (Your beauty captures my heart)

Very meaningful name, right?

Yes, looks like Irfan Anaqi looks more like daddy. hehehe

And look who visited too. Auntie Fizah!
(salah baby lah, Fizah!)

Congratulations to my lovely sister & abg Awil!!!!
I am so happy for you guys!

Azrina's Engagement

My-oh-my, another cousin of mine got engaged and she is the elder sister of the previous engagement that I had attended.

It was held on 16th January and the whole family went, including my sis who was already 9 months pregnant and we went in my bro's new car.

As per normal, we were constantly forced to eat even though we had just arrived. We came a little early so there was plenty of time to mingle, sat around and watch the boys play.

When my cousin was finally really, we quickly took the obligatory family picture.

Her gifts to him

Almost 3pm, relatives of the guy's side arrived and do the standard chatter and exchange of gifts.
I love this picture of my bro, he is so happy for don't know what reason =P

Pictures, pictures!
I look like my make up is totally gone =/

Congratulations, Azrina & Andi!
