Happy Halloween!!

Actually, I don't really celebrate Halloween but i love checking out people's costumes and all the scary shit even though i am such a scardey-cat! i know, the irony!

I was checking out the net on Haunted dolls and its so freaky man! HauntedAmericanTours claimed that these dolls are truly haunted and they will do the classic moving around and scary noises in the night.
Joliet the Cursed Doll

Joliet is believed to be a cursed doll and has cursed a family for 4 generations. The doll was passed down from mother to daughter and was cursed to have only 2 children; 1 boy and 1 girl. Not a big deal right? but the boy will only survive till he is 3 days old! and the spirit will live in Joliet.

Apparently, Joliet was gift given by the lady's Greatmother's jealous 'friend' who was pregnant with a boy who die when he was 3 days old. The owners didnt want to destroy the doll since they believe that destroying the doll would mean destroying the soul of their dead son.
Hunted Barbie Doll

Now, this is local. You can find this barbie doll at Pulau Ubin where people would worship the owner whose name is Lady Na Tuk Kong. She is daughter of a German couple during WWI whose parents where killed and ran to the forest for safety and fell off a cliff. Apparently, came to a tourist's dream and requested him to buy the specific doll at a specific shop for her. I dont know how true is that.

Christina

The owner really gave the full 1 on 1 on Christina. She said she bought her at  an antique shop and said that the doll choose her. She gave the doll to her daughter (clever huh?) and Christina is everywhere her daughter went. Even when her fren broke Christna's leg, they had a massive funeral for the leg!! and made her change her bandages everyday and even woke her up one night saying that Christina's legs were on fire.

When she dugged up the "grave" there were fire ants crawling all over the leg! freaky..

Mandy

Mandy is currently at a Museum. She was donated by a lady because she said that everynight she would hear a baby crying in the direction of the baby and ever since she gave it away, she didnt hear those cries anymore

Devil's Baby Doll

This doll is made of leather and blue glass eyes and its life sized!!! It was actually a gift by a leather maker for a close friend who was obssessed with Devil Baby of Hull House and The Devil Baby of Bourbon Street at that moment but he died and never get to see it. The doll even came for the funeral and was meant to be buried with his friend but his family objected. Now the doll is known to be possesed by his friend and caught turning its head.

 Annabelle

I have recalled watching movies about this doll! Annabelle's antics were so bad, she is now locked inside a protective glass case in an occult museum to keep her at bay.how crazy is that? they even called priests for this one

Haunted Voodoo Doll

This one does the classic -you-can't-get-rid-of-me-and-i-will-appear-at-your-door-step- trick even when she sold it at ebay, the doll will still arrive at her doorstep! and the doll is so weird looking!

Pupa

Pupa is said to move by herself. Often she is said to push things around in the display case where the family who owns her keep her. Since the passing of the original owner in 2005 the family reports that the haunted doll has become very active and seems to want to be released from where she is kept.

The original owner had it from the age of 5 or 6 (1920's) until she died in July of 2005. The doll survived World War II, and many, many close calls to it's destruction over the years. The owner cherished it always through out her long life. The doll traveled from Italy to the United States then back to Italy and across Europe and finally to the USA once again where it is now.

Alice

This very haunted Doll doll is said to whispers in a ghostly voice if you press your ears close to her porcelain lips, says Marie. Her eyes will follow you around the room and her expression will change if she does not like you . "This Doll has been in my family for years it was always kept in a locked doll case." "My grandmother said it was possessed by the spirit of her" Best friend" Alice who died". " I have captured many Haunted Doll EVP's from her and the most common statement she makes is , " I want to be left alone to suffer"."

who would press their ears close to such a freaky doll!?!?

And there's more!!

I don't really believe 100% if these dolls are truly haunted but i believe in scary looking dolls and man, they are creepy! Its one of the reasons i don't like realistic dolls they have in Toys R Us. YIKES!

Anyways, its raining as i speak now, Happy Gloomy Halloween!! *evil laughs*

Another Birthday Picnic

This time, the credits goes to Sis's inlaws as they want to celebrate Sis and FIL's birthday which falls on the 26th October but the picnic was held on the 25th. It was a small and humble picnic at Pasir Ris but everyone had great fun. This time around, i took the back seat and just relax because frankly speaking, i was truly exhausted from the 2 nights in a row escapades.

Yet again, not much storytelling here [there's no point right? almost every celebration is about the same], just going to throw pictures at you! hehe

It was so hot even before we went out i had to tie my hair. I looked like i had those stylish haircuts eh? Looks weird on me i think

Busy with the drinks

Settling down as Abg Awil joined his family for quick swim and play time. hehe

Can you spot the "sea creature"? haha

Sis's FIL fishing

and finally, a big group photo

Thats it! Just a heads up, next blog post is also birthday related. i can hear groaning from everybody already. haha I cant help it that most of my family members are Octo-babies! ok, that doesn't right.. does it? hmm

BUT don't worry, no celebration what so ever. its just a birthday date... ON A HELIPAD! how cool is that!

Watch this space!

Shibly, my nephew's birthday party by the beach

On the 24th Oct, right after the Nuffnang blog awards, was Shibly's 2 years old birthday. We planned it to be held at East Coast Park and everything went rather smoothly except the fact that i got extra cranky due to the heat and an empty stomach.

We had kite flying, balloon & bubbles blowing, eating 2 types of noodles with fried chicken and a couple of deserts, played with party gifts, Mickey mouse cake and crazy laughter in between. Extended family members only came in the evening but its alright, at least there are people to finish up the food hahaha

Enough of talking, big-ass pictures coming up!

The birthday boy and his playtime

I know, i know.. Need i state the obvious? hahhaha

The guys had a balloon challenge on who can blow the biggest balloon.

Cake Time!

 The Crazy Party Boys hahaha

I swear to God, this picture looks EXACTLY like me when i was his age!

Well, thats it. I will be posting more on my Multiply blog because there are almost 200+ crazy photos to be posted up.I will post them when i have the time. tee hee!

Meanwhile,

Nuffnang Blog Awards 2009

Thanks to my Pringles and Uniquely Singapore post, i managed to win exclusive tickets to the first Nuffnang blog awards on the 23rd October 2009! Coincidentally, it also falls on our anniversary! How awesome is that?

I even get to go for a Singapore blog tour with all asian bloggers but too bad i cant make it because i made commitments to my 2 year old nephew's bday. I must enjoy him when he is still cute. haha

The awards was held at Pan-Pacific Hotel and we arrived at about 7.05pm. The crowd was still tame so when we entered the place, everyone looked up and stared at us and there was when i quickly looked down and hide behind Jhon. haha

The main person i really was looking for was Xiaxue and Kenny Sia but I doubt they would come so early anyways so Jhon and I just relax at one corner and check out the crowd as it grew.

Close to 8pm, we went in the ballroom and to our table [which is far away from the stage btw =( ]  and was welcomed by a bottle of sweets complimentary of Nuffnang & Sticky. It's very unique and cute and i love it!

I checked out the menu and it looks pretty good, no pork hahahha I suppose there are also Malay-Indonesian-Malaysian bloggers too so Nuffnang tried their best to cater most of us here.

Allan Wu was the host of the day and the first part of the ceremony was the storytelling of the past and present of Nuffnang. It was quite interesting to know how Nuffnang grew to become such a success.

The founders of Nuffnang.

While watching an magic act by J C Sum and "Magic Babe" Ning, the food came one by one throughout the entire award ceremony. 3 out of the 4 dishes were delicious!

Our table is really like rojak being all mixed will all kinds of characters. haha

There are the young-hyper-active ones from hisdecadence who are pretty cool actually

There are the sweet and quiet ones from reflectherbeauty and jing-world

There are the talkative-center-of-the-attention couple from tinsel-gurus

There are the keep-to-oursleves couple from -i-dont-know-where- because didnt get their site add. =P

and theres us, the underdogs. We were quiet but we tried our best to exchange some words and smiles. hahaha we were so akward because we are not very big in socializing but i think we made a semi-good impression.... i hope >_< But i think the table was pretty good no bad vibes at all.

Austrailian bloggers took the stage with some of the awards and Xiaxue was the talk of the award because she won 3 awards! Best entertainment, Best Original blog and Best Regional Blog! Jealous sia... the trophy is so nice. hehe and Kenny Sia even did the Kanye West bit which was histerical and classic.

The funny thing that happened was that i was trying so hard to see Xiaxue in the flesh but all i can see is her floating blonde hair. It was hilarious man. It really felt like looking for my mom and sis [who is short too btw] at a supermarket ailse!

But i managed to check her out in the end. Pretty leh. I dont care if her hair, nose or whatever is fake. the thing is, it suits her. I get to see Kenny Sia too and the other of the nominees that i admitedly don't know. bwahahaha

After all the hoo-hah, Jhon stole a white rose for me because nothing says better than 'I love You' with a stolen rose

and went home because we are going to have a long day at the beach the next day.

We are so old. -_-''
